Over the Easter weekend a stuffed bunny and chocolate bunny mysteriously arrived on my desk at work. It sat there for a whole day before I got in to see it and created quite a stir in the office. To quote a co-worker, "we all but raped that poor bunny, looking for some sort of card on it!" Well, it was Matt of course, and what a relief; there weren't many men in that office so I was glad it wasn't A) the married guy or B) the donor old enough to be my father who'd already asked me out once! Though when I learned it was Matt, my first thought was, "well an anonymous gift isn't get to get you anywhere" but later decided that even though he wasn't ready to ask me out, he still wanted to make me smile and that was very sweet!
So a few weeks later he asked me out; in this modern age, a shy guy asks you out via email. I hadn't gotten any email yet, but a little birdie told me it was coming. So one day he walked past my desk and said, "it wasn't a trick question you know." I had no idea what was talking about and told him so, he asked if I'd gotten his email. I said, "no, what did it say?" Knowing full well what it was going to say and giving him the chance to ask me right there. But he just said, "I'll tell you later" and walked away. AGGRAVATING!
Well as it turns out, we were migrating email systems around that time and somehow I was only getting about half of my messages. Fortunately I got it fixed and got his message and we went on our first date!

Oh, poor Matt and his shy crush! I'm glad he got his points for being sweet. It is all so cute! I'm sure you already told met this stuff, but I can't remember it at all, so this is really fun!
