Can You Hear Me Now?

Today I took Sammy with me to return a phone at Verizon, I planned it perfectly so that he would be waking up from his nap and be hungry. I figured no salesman would haggle over the return or try to sell me another phone with a crying baby, right? Sammy was quiet in the beginning and the salesman didn't even ask questions, he just started the return. Then when he started having trouble refunding the credit card, Sammy started crying. The refund took longer than normal as they tried to fix the card issues and Sammy screamed till we left, he definitely was hungry. So my plan backfired, but am I the only one to try and use a crying baby to my advantage? Does this make me a bad person?

Hell no you are not a bad person. There has to be some silver lining in every cloud. How many parents are just jumping at the chance to take a child out during Sacrament meeting?

I've used James like that before . . . Ok, maybe I didn't plan it out in advance. I am impressed by your forethought.

Thanks Inger-Lis, I was quite impressed with it myself!

That is TOO funny--I'd always planned things so the kids would sleep through stuff, but using a baby the other way is quite a thought! You could use that for all kinds of things--long lines at the store, boring meeting, etc, etc. :)

Hah! That's awesome Liz! Does that make you bad? I call it strategic. What a crummy salesman, eh?
