Where did my brain go?

Everyone tells you that you become very forgetful and absent minded during pregnancy...and sometimes forever thereafter. I can't say I've really had any crazy forgetful moments while pregnant, but I have been looking forward to using it as an excuse:) I think my moment finally came today, I mopped our kitchen floor, I have a bottle of the Mop and Glo stuff, you just pour some on the floor and mop, no rinsing necessary. Over an hour later I couldn't figure out why the floor was still so sticky. Finally I picked up the bottle I used and after a minute of trying to read the instructions I realized the blue bottle that I thought was Mop n Glo was really Jet Dry rinse agent for the dishwasher. No wonder the floor was so dang sticky! So, after a couple of good rinses with clean water my floor looks cleaner than its ever been before. Now, if only I can keep it that way...

I think the forgetfulness happens more after the baby comes. Then it's just because you're sleep deprived and who doesn't get loopy and forgetful then? Heck, I had sleep deprevation forgetfulness in college. I recall a certain trip to the auto parts store with Spencer from the back half of the house when I couldn't remember Joy's name and so I just called her George.

Any day now, though and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. We'll keep our fingers and toes crossed for a safe and painless delivery!

Thats pretty funny. And no, your mind never comes back. Just remember to buckle them in their carseats. And buckle the carseats in the car. I speak from experience.

Hey Liz, Colleen again, it is great to "hear" from you this way. Remember what other people say about this: your brain will get sucked into your placenta and expelled at birth. Sorry to be so graphic, but that seems to be the experience everyone has :-). We miss you here, your skills have left a hole! I love your blog, great job!
