This week our baby will be the size of a lime, don't worry, I won't give you a baby update every single week. But speaking of limes, I recently bought a lime tree. This is my first real experience with a house plant. I choose it because it produces fruit all year round (guess I better learn to make key lime pie) and hopefully it will smell and look as pretty as an orange or lemon tree. But how much sun are these things supposed to get? At first I thought I put it in a very sunny window but now I'm not so sure, so about once a week I let it spend a day outside to soak in some Vegas sun. I guess I'm doing something right because there are a ton of little buds on the tree, pretty soon they will be blossoms. I'm so excited to see my little lime tree blossom, until then, this is the only picture you get.

Oooh, key lime pie sounds pretty good right now.
Wow--that's a dang cool house plant! You can also make limonda--that brazilian lime drink. It's WAY tasty!
You can keep the updates coming...I love to read them! I'm jealous of your lime plant! How yummy!!! I pick from my neighbor's lemon tree all the time! Nothing's better than fresh lemonade!
YEA FOR BABIES!! Congratulations! Parenthood is the most fun/challenging/crazy/mind consuming/annoying/frenzied thing there is. You'll love it.
Key Lime Pie with lime juice doesn't turn out as tart, but it'll still turn out okay. Here's the easiest recipe around.
1 graham cracker crust
1/2 c key lime juice
1 c sour cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Mix juice, sour cream and milk together and pour into shell. Refrigerate 3-4 hours and serve with whipped cream.
There you go. Real key lime pie from a real Florida girl.
And keep in mind - lime trees grow in Florida/Arizona where it's sunnny year round. Just keep that bugger moist and you'll be fine.
