Bon Apetit!
Last night I finally watched Julie and Julia, I thought the movie was adorable. A few months ago I forced myself to read the first 50 pages of The Julia Project (the book that part of the movie is based on). I gave up on the book because the woman was completely depressing and I didn't care for the f-bomb that she dropped every page or so. Why do some writers feel it's so important to use bad language in their books/movies/etc? Have you ever heard someone complain that "there just wasn't enough bad language in that book"? I don't get it, but I did like the movie and I thought that Julia's cooking school instructor looked like The Swedish Chef from The Muppets.

I am with you 100%. I think I only made it 30 pgs into that book and had to put it away. They did a wonderful job with the movie though. Even made reference to the "F" bomb, which I thought was funny. My husband even watched it with me and loved it too.
I really need to watch that movie- It looks so good! Perhaps I should try the book too.
I loved the movie! I haven't read the book, so I can't comment on the language, but since they reference it in the movie, it must be bad. I also agree with the muppet reference! LOL soooo true! And yes, I-L you should watch the movie...something to netflix on your two week long vacation! ;-)
Hugs and Happy Holidays,
